Premise
Order is everything to Mona Newman, which makes sharing a house with her stepbrother David close to unbearable. He stands for everything her tidy, rule-following life is built to keep out.
David has an inflated opinion of himself and none of Mona's discipline, and the premise sets the two up as natural adversaries forced under one roof. What follows, on paper, is a running contest of stubbornness, point-scoring and questionable choices that gradually unsettles the careful routines Mona depends on. Neither of them is willing to give ground, and the house becomes the arena for a feud that neither seems able to drop. The longer arc the setup promises is a classic enemies-to-lovers turn, with the hostility slowly giving way to attraction between the adult step-siblings.

That length matters: an enemies-to-lovers premise needs room for the feud to feel real before it softens, and this setup has more space to do that than almost any other Candy AI Short.
