No, there is no official Candy Shorts or Candy AI app for iPhone or Android. Candy AI's help center says it "does not offer a native mobile app for iOS or Android"; instead, candy.ai works as a web app you add to your home screen, and candyshorts.com runs in any browser. Store apps with "Candy" in the name come from other developers, and there is no official APK.
People search "Candy AI app", "Candy Shorts app" and "Candy AI APK" because the series look like something from an app store: short episodes, recurring characters, cliffhangers. The product works differently. We checked Candy AI's help center (the app article was updated June 19, 2026), the web-app files on both official sites and the App Store and Google Play listings on October 2, 2026. Here is what exists, how to put it on your phone in a minute, and what to avoid.
What exists: a web app, not a store app
Candy AI's homepage FAQ says "No installation is needed", and the site shows its own install prompt — "Get App to Receive Notifications from: New Features / Sales and Discounts / New Messages" — with the instruction to tap Share, then Add to Home Screen. Behind that, candy.ai serves a web-app manifest named "Candy AI", the file that lets a phone treat a website as an installable app, a progressive web app or PWA. You get an icon on your home screen that opens Candy AI directly.
candyshorts.com has no manifest and no download page; both addresses return "not found". You can still pin it to your home screen, but it is likely to behave more like a bookmark that opens in your browser. Since both sites carry the same regular series (candy.ai adds the Spicy titles) and use the same account and membership, most people who want an "app" are better off installing candy.ai and opening its Candy Shorts tab.
| Native iPhone app | None, per Candy AI's help center |
|---|---|
| Native Android app | None, per Candy AI's help center |
| Official APK | None; candy.ai/download, /app and /apk all redirect to the homepage |
| candy.ai | Installable web app (manifest name "Candy AI") |
| candyshorts.com | Browser only; no manifest, no download page |
| Where it runs | The browser on a phone, tablet or computer |
The web-app route has two practical upsides over any download. There is nothing to update: the icon always opens the current site, so you never run an outdated or tampered copy. And it stays inside your browser's security sandbox, with no permissions beyond the notifications you choose to allow. One Candy AI feature does lean on the phone: an older help article says Live Action, a Premium feature on the chat side, is only available on mobile. With no native app, that means the mobile site or the home-screen web app, not a separate download.
How to add Candy AI to your iPhone home screen
- Open Safari and type candy.ai into the address bar yourself rather than tapping an ad.
- Tap the Share button, the square with an arrow pointing up.
- Scroll down the share sheet and tap Add to Home Screen.
- Edit the name if you want a more discreet label, then tap Add.
- Open Candy AI from the new icon, sign in, and find the series in the Candy Shorts tab.
From then on the icon takes you straight to Candy AI. If the site asks to send notifications, you can say no; what they show is covered in the notifications section below.
How to add it on Android
- Open Chrome and go to candy.ai.
- Tap the three-dot menu at the top right.
- Tap Install app or Add to Home screen; the wording depends on your Chrome version.
- Confirm. The icon appears on your home screen or in the app drawer.
Other Android browsers have similar options in their menus. On a computer you don't need any of this: open candy.ai or candyshorts.com in a browser tab, and the full walkthrough — signing in, devices, subtitles — is in how to watch Candy Shorts.
Store apps that borrow the name
Because there is no official app, the stores fill the gap with lookalikes. On October 2, 2026 we found these, none published by EverAI Limited, the company behind Candy AI:
- CandyMate AI on the App Store, listed under an individual developer's name.
- Baebot: AI Character & Chat on the App Store, which turned up in search results as "CandyAI: Chat, Play & Create" before its current name.
- Sweet Cherry: AI Girlfriend on Google Play, published by Candy Studio Apps (HAZNEDAR TEKNOLOJI LIMITED SIRKETI) under the package name io.candy.android.app, which looks official and isn't.
- Two more App Store results from the same search returned "not found" and are no longer available.
Whatever these apps do, they are not Candy AI. None is covered by Candy AI's terms, refund rules or privacy notice, a subscription bought inside one is a subscription to someone else's product, and none can legitimately carry Candy Shorts episodes. Never sign in to a third-party app with your Candy AI password. The broader checklist is in Is Candy Shorts safe and legit?
Inkitt CandyJar is a different thing
"Inkitt CandyJar: TV & Shorts" is a short-drama app from Inkitt. The name and the short-drama format make it easy to confuse with Candy Shorts, but it has no connection to Candy AI: different company, different catalogue, different account. If someone recommended "Candy Shorts" and you found CandyJar in the App Store, you found a namesake.
"Candy AI mod APK" downloads: unofficial and risky
Search for "Candy AI mod APK" and download portals offer files labelled "Premium unlocked" or "unlimited messages". Since EverAI says no native app exists, none of these files comes from Candy AI. We did not download or open them.
What we can say for certain applies to any APK from an anonymous site. Installing it means allowing installs from unknown sources and skipping Google Play's review. The app can ask for permissions you can't easily judge, and once installed it can read notifications, capture what you type or pull in more software later. For an adult-content download from a stranger, that is a very bad trade — especially since it buys you nothing, as the next section explains.
Why a mod can't unlock Premium anyway
Even a harmless mod would have nothing to change. Candy AI's paid features are not switches inside an app on your phone; they belong to your account on Candy AI's servers. Your membership is a plan attached to that account. Your tokens are a balance on it, topped up with 100 a month on Premium. And a Shorts episode beyond the free two plays because your account has a membership, or has spent tokens on it — 12 per episode on candy.ai, 30 on creator series. The video itself comes from Candy AI's own servers.
So a modified app can, at best, show you the website with your same account and the same locks. At worst it pretends to unlock something while collecting your login. Bought or shared accounts don't help either: Candy AI's help center says accounts and tokens can't be transferred to another email. The only legitimately "unlocked" episodes are the free ones — episodes 1 and 2 of every regular series, 246 in all (the free list). Leak sites and cracked accounts are covered in what those links really are.
Notifications and privacy on a home-screen web app
A home-screen icon is more visible than a browser tab. A few habits keep it discreet:
- Rename the icon when you add it; otherwise expect the manifest's name, "Candy AI".
- Think before allowing notifications. Candy AI's prompt offers alerts about new features, sales and discounts, and new messages, and notification previews can appear on a locked screen. If you allow them, turn previews off for this app in your phone's notification settings.
- Lock the phone with a passcode, and sign out of Candy AI if others use the device.
- Hide or skip the icon. Put it in a folder, or don't install it at all and use a private browser tab instead.
- Remember the statement line. Payments show as "EverAI", whatever the icon is called.
To remove the web app, press and hold the icon and choose the remove or uninstall option, then clear candy.ai's site data in your browser settings to sign out on that device. Removing the icon does not cancel anything: Premium keeps renewing until you unsubscribe, as explained in how to cancel Candy AI.
Getting started without an app
The quickest test needs no install at all. Episodes 1 and 2 of all 123 regular series are free on the official sites, and on candyshorts.com they play without an account. Pick one such as Cleopatra and Caesar or She Was Sent to Kill Me, or browse all 132 series. If you like it enough to come back, add candy.ai to your home screen with the steps above.
Frequently asked questions
Does Candy AI have an app?
Not a native one. Candy AI's help center says it does not offer a native mobile app for iOS or Android; instead, candy.ai can be added to your home screen as a web app, with its own icon. candyshorts.com runs in the browser.
Is there a Candy Shorts app on the App Store or Google Play?
No. Apps that borrow the Candy name, such as CandyMate AI, or Sweet Cherry: AI Girlfriend with its io.candy package name, are made by other developers, and Inkitt CandyJar is an unrelated short-drama app. None of them is connected to Candy AI.
Is the Candy AI mod APK safe?
No. There is no official Candy AI APK, so every "mod" comes from an unknown source and skips any store review. It also cannot unlock Premium, because access is tied to your account on Candy AI's servers.
How do I get Candy AI on my phone?
On iPhone, open candy.ai in Safari, tap Share, then Add to Home Screen. On Android, open it in Chrome, tap the three-dot menu, then Install app or Add to Home screen. Shorts are in the Candy Shorts tab.
Can I download Candy Shorts episodes to watch offline?
We found no download or offline option on the official pages, and the candyshorts.com terms prohibit downloading or copying episodes. Sites offering episode downloads are covered in Candy AI Shorts leaked.
Does the Candy AI web app send notifications?
Only if you allow them. Candy AI's prompt offers notifications about new features, sales and discounts, and new messages. You can decline, or turn off lock-screen previews in your phone's settings.
Why is Candy AI not in the app stores?
Candy AI's help center doesn't give a reason; it simply points to the home-screen web app instead. The practical upshot is that anything in a store calling itself Candy AI is not the real thing.
