Candy AI videos: Shorts series vs custom video generation

Search for Candy AI videos and you land on two different products: a library of scripted series, and a generator that turns characters into clips. How each works, what it costs and where the files end up.

Short answer Yes · two kinds

Candy AI makes two kinds of video. Candy Shorts are ready-made episodic series, 132 of them on October 2, 2026, that you watch like a show, with two free episodes per regular series. Generated videos are clips you make yourself from Candy AI characters, by converting an image to video or with the "Build Your Video" preset builder; they need Premium and cost tokens.

The two share a brand, an account and a token balance, but they answer different needs. Shorts are for watching a story someone else wrote. Generation is for getting a clip of a character you chose, doing something you picked from a menu. This guide is built from Candy AI's help center, subscription page and terms, plus the public Shorts catalogue, as checked on October 2, 2026. We haven't generated videos with a paid account, and Candy AI doesn't publish what a second of generated video costs.

Candy Shorts: the series library

Candy Shorts are, in the help center's words, "short, AI-generated cinematic videos featuring Candy.ai characters in scripted scenarios", made of "pre-written scenes with a beginning, middle, and end" and "separate from your chat conversations". On October 2, 2026 there were 132 series: 123 regular titles with 707 episodes between them, plus 9 Spicy titles visible only to signed-in adults. 112 of the regular series run five episodes; the longest, My bestie betrayed me, runs 34.

Episodes are vertical and run under two minutes each. Episodes 1 and 2 of every regular series are free, 246 in total; from episode 3 you need Premium or, inside candy.ai, tokens. Most series have subtitles in six languages, and 14 have dubbed audio. A handful star the AI twins of real creators such as Riley Reid and Bonnie Blue (see digital twins), and most of the rest use Candy AI's own characters, several of them recurring across series, mapped on our characters page.

One thing the official sources don't agree on is pace. The candy.ai homepage says "New episodes coming out every week"; the help center says "we can't guarantee a release schedule". Browse every title on our series list.

Generating your own video on Candy AI

Candy AI's generator is narrower than "AI video" might suggest. An older help article says video generation is an image converted to video, and that "Candy.ai does not support direct video generation from scratch". The newer Build Your Video builder works from presets instead — character, action, location, partner — so either way you pick from Candy's options rather than describe a scene in your own words. The step-by-step is in the video generator guide.

The newer route is Build Your Video, described in a help article updated August 26, 2026: a preset builder where you choose a character, an action, a location and a partner, with the result saved to "My Generations". That is more structured than plain image-to-video, but still menu-driven; neither article documents typing a free description and getting a clip back. The subscriptions page, meanwhile, advertises "Generate 18+ Videos" as a Premium benefit, so explicit output is part of the offer, within the rules covered in Candy AI NSFW rules.

Video can also arrive without you asking. In the "Realistic" chat mode, a character may send photos, voice notes and videos on its own; the help center explains how to turn the mode off if you'd rather decide when media appears.

Live Action: the third thing called video

Live Action is a separate feature again. The help center calls it "a Premium-only, token-gated feature" where "some actions are free; some require tokens". The subscriptions page lists the "Full Live Action Experience" among Premium benefits, and Premium Plus adds "Live Action/New Experiences and Live audio". An older help article said Live Action was "only available on mobile for Premium users"; the current documentation doesn't say whether that still applies. Candy AI doesn't publish a token price per Live Action step.

How adult are Candy AI videos?

Both kinds are made for adults, but in different ways. Shorts follow a fixed structure: the free episodes 1 and 2 set up the story with no nudity, most regular series include nudity and sex scenes in their paid episodes, and the 9 Spicy titles are explicit from episode 1 and hidden from guests. Every viewer who unlocks an episode sees the same version; there is no separate uncensored cut.

Generated videos depend on what you choose, within the rules. Premium's "Generate 18+ Videos" covers adult output, but the Blocked Content Policy and Community Guidelines still ban content resembling minors, lookalikes of real people, deepfakes and non-consensual content, and flagged material can be reviewed by people. We classify rather than describe; the layer-by-layer breakdown for Shorts is in is Candy Shorts porn.

What Candy AI videos cost

Shorts have the clearest prices. Premium is $3.99 a month on the annual plan (billed $47.88), $8.99 a month quarterly (billed $26.97) or $13.99 monthly. Inside candy.ai, a single episode from 3 onward costs 12 tokens, or 30 on creator series, and the unlock screen promises it is "Yours forever". Note the fine print: the candyshorts.com terms say a subscription includes "a limited number of candyshorts episodes and tokens", with further access for tokens, so the paywall's "Unlimited access to exclusive stories" line shouldn't be taken literally.

Generated video is priced per scene. The public builder at candy.ai/create-video charges 12 tokens for a 5-second scene and 20 for a 10-second one, up to 10 scenes, and an in-chat clip of the current moment shows 12 tokens for 5 seconds. What a token costs in dollars is less clear: token packs are priced only after you log in at candy.ai/tokens. Premium includes 100 tokens a month, Premium Plus 330. The only official dollar reference is the referral program, where 200 tokens are called "a $20 value", about 10 cents a token as a rough guide. For contrast, OurDream AI publishes 100 coins per 5 seconds of standard video: a different currency, so not directly comparable, but it shows what a published rate looks like. Plan prices and cost per episode are in Candy AI Shorts price.

Where your videos are stored

Clips from Build Your Video go to "My Generations" in your account. Token unlocks are marked "Yours forever" and membership access ends with the membership; either way episodes are streamed rather than handed over as files: the candyshorts.com terms prohibit downloading or copying them.

Two cautions apply to anything you make. The terms allow Candy AI to remove account content "after defined periods of inactivity", and deleting your account (Settings → Danger Zone) ends your access while EverAI keeps some data for legally required periods. Don't treat your Candy AI account as permanent storage for a clip you care about.

Sharing rules: what you can post

Candy AI's sharing rules are short and strict:

  • No commercial use. The help center says commercial use of generated content is prohibited.
  • Personal sharing of your own characters only. Personal, unmonetized sharing of images made with your own Create My AI characters is allowed. The article speaks of images; it doesn't single out video, so assume the same limits.
  • Not the featured characters. "Do not post content created via characters featured on the 'Explore' or homepage."
  • No real-person lookalikes, under the Community Guidelines, wherever you post.
  • Shorts are not yours to repost. Downloading and copying are prohibited; uploads elsewhere that claim to be full episodes are not the real series, as explained in Candy Shorts on Dailymotion.

Also keep in mind that content you create is licensed to EverAI under section 4 of the terms, including for training its AI models.

Which one should you use?

If you want a story, start with Shorts: the free episodes cost nothing, the format is consistent and the prices are published. If you want a specific character in a specific scene, generation is the tool, but it needs Premium and a token budget you can only see after signing in, so set yourself a limit before you start. Both sit behind the same account, so trying the free Shorts episodes first costs you nothing either way. For how video fits into the rest of the platform, from chat to tokens, see our Candy AI review.

Frequently asked questions

Does Candy AI make videos?

Yes, two kinds. Candy Shorts are ready-made episodic series, 132 of them on October 2, 2026, and generated videos are clips you create from Candy AI characters with tokens, by converting an image or using the "Build Your Video" presets.

Can Candy AI generate a video from text?

Not from free text. An older help article says "Candy.ai does not support direct video generation from scratch" and describes converting an image into a clip; the newer Build Your Video builder at candy.ai/create-video assembles a video from presets (character, action, location, partner) without a starting image. See how the video generator works.

Are Candy AI videos free?

Partly. Episodes 1 and 2 of every regular Shorts series are free, 246 episodes in total. Video generation is not part of the free tier; it needs Premium and tokens.

How much does a Candy AI video cost?

The public builder at candy.ai/create-video prices each scene in tokens: 12 for 5 seconds, 20 for 10 seconds, up to 10 scenes, so 12 to 200 tokens a video; an in-chat 5-second clip shows 12 tokens. Token packs are priced only after login. Shorts episodes cost 12 tokens each inside candy.ai, or 30 on creator series, or come with Premium from $3.99 a month on the annual plan. See the price guide.

Where are my Candy AI videos saved?

Clips made with Build Your Video are saved to "My Generations" in your account. Shorts episodes stream from the Shorts library and may not be downloaded under the candyshorts.com terms.

Can I post Candy AI videos on social media?

Only for personal, non-commercial sharing of content from your own Create My AI characters. Candy AI says not to post content made with characters featured on its Explore page or homepage, and Shorts episodes may not be copied or reposted.
