Premise

Castle law is blunt about the queen: anyone who lays a hand on her pays with his life. The queen herself is 22, and out of every guard in her service she chooses the one with the lowest birth to keep watch outside her private chambers each night.

That assignment turns every shift into a test of nerve, because the queen does not keep her distance and keeps pushing him toward the very line that would get him executed. The setup is a fantasy power-play premise built on rank and risk: she holds all the authority, he holds nothing but his post, and a single misstep could cost him everything.

Setting: A royal castle in a fantasy kingdom, mostly by night outside the queen's chambers.

Tone: dangerous royal power-play romance.

Format and episodes

There are five episodes of Sworn to the Queen as of October 2, 2026. Each one is a vertical clip of under two minutes, built for a phone held upright, so the full story is under ten minutes of viewing.

The first two episodes are free to watch, and the padlock starts at episode 3: three episodes sit behind the paywall. Each episode picks up exactly where the previous one stopped, so skipping ahead does not work well.

The original audio is English, with dubbed audio tracks in French, German, Spanish, Italian and Portuguese — one of only 14 dubbed series in the catalogue — and subtitles in English, French, German, Spanish, Italian and Portuguese.

What is free and what is paid

Episodes 1 and 2 cost nothing and play straight from the series page on candyshorts.com. For the other three there are two routes: Candy AI Premium — $3.99 a month on the annual plan ($47.88 billed once), $8.99 a month quarterly or $13.99 month to month — or, inside candy.ai, buying single episodes with tokens, 12 tokens each for this series.

Candy's own terms add a caveat worth knowing: "A limited number of candyshorts episodes and tokens are included in a subscription, and further access to episodes is available for an amount of tokens disclosed in the product." The paywall itself promises "unlimited access to exclusive stories", so check the unlock screen if a series ever asks for tokens on top of your plan.

Prices are the US checkout on October 2, 2026; the full breakdown, including renewals and refunds, is in our price guide, and the free tier is mapped out in what you can watch free.

Content notes

Like the rest of the regular catalogue, Sworn to the Queen is made for adults. Episodes 1 and 2 are setup — flirting, tension, the premise — while the locked episodes are where the adult content sits in most series. It does not carry the Spicy flag, which Candy AI keeps for the titles that are explicit from the first minute. No real people appear: the cast is entirely AI-generated.

Where to watch Sworn to the Queen

Our take

Royal fantasy is a growing corner of the catalogue, and this premise sits neatly beside My Father's New Queen, Claimed by the Dragon Queen and Trespasser of the Sunken Court. What it offers that those do not is a single, very clear rule. The law that makes any contact with the queen fatal gives every interaction a hard boundary, and the class gap between a ruler and the least of her guards supplies the power dynamic.

Claimed by the Dragon Queen also puts a queen in charge of a man with no standing, so fans of that series will recognize the shape here. On paper the strongest part of the setup is its simplicity: one guard, one door, one law. It runs the standard five episodes, which suits a premise that depends on sustained tension rather than a sprawling plot.

Who it is for: Fantasy fans who like rank-and-rules romance, and viewers who enjoyed Claimed by the Dragon Queen or My Father's New Queen and want another court setting where the woman holds every card.

Is Sworn to the Queen a fantasy series?

Yes. It is set in a castle kingdom ruled by a queen aged 22, where any contact with her is a capital offense. The story follows the low-born guard she assigns to her door.

Is Sworn to the Queen connected to My Father's New Queen?

No link between the two is indicated. Both are royal fantasies with a queen aged 22, but My Father's New Queen is a stepmother story involving a prince, while Sworn to the Queen pairs its queen with the lowest-ranking guard in her castle.
