Premise
Dad's New Girlfriend puts the viewer in the position of an adult whose father has just started a relationship with Colette Ramsey, an adult woman many years his junior. Colette is warm and easygoing, and the attraction that grows between her and the narrator becomes the problem the whole series circles.
The setup is a classic household-boundary drama: a parent's new partner, a family line nobody is supposed to cross, and a narrator who has to decide how much that line really matters. Because the father stays part of the picture, every shared moment between Colette and the narrator carries a question of loyalty as well as attraction, and the premise never lets the viewer forget whose girlfriend she is.
Setting: A contemporary family setting, where the father's new relationship brings Colette into the narrator's everyday life.
Tone: slow-burn family loyalty tension.
Format and episodes
Six episodes make up Dad's New Girlfriend, above the usual five. Like every Candy Shorts title it is cut into vertical episodes of under two minutes that end on a hook, which puts the whole series at under twenty minutes.
The first two episodes are free to watch, and the padlock starts at episode 3: four episodes sit behind the paywall. Each episode picks up exactly where the previous one stopped, so skipping ahead does not work well.

Who is in it
The series is led by Colette Ramsey, an AI-generated character created by Candy AI. Candy reuses its characters across stories, and Colette Ramsey also leads two other series: I Picked Up a Hitchhiker and Dragon Queen's Dark Desire. See every recurring face on the characters page.
What is free and what is paid
Episodes 1 and 2 cost nothing and play straight from the series page on candyshorts.com. For the other four there are two routes: Candy AI Premium — $3.99 a month on the annual plan ($47.88 billed once), $8.99 a month quarterly or $13.99 month to month — or, inside candy.ai, buying single episodes with tokens, 12 tokens each for this series.
Candy's own terms add a caveat worth knowing: "A limited number of candyshorts episodes and tokens are included in a subscription, and further access to episodes is available for an amount of tokens disclosed in the product." The paywall itself promises "unlimited access to exclusive stories", so check the unlock screen if a series ever asks for tokens on top of your plan.
Prices are the US checkout on October 2, 2026; the full breakdown, including renewals and refunds, is in our price guide, and the free tier is mapped out in what you can watch free.
Content notes
Like the rest of the regular catalogue, Dad's New Girlfriend is made for adults. Episodes 1 and 2 are setup — flirting, tension, the premise — while the locked episodes are where the adult content sits in most series. It does not carry the Spicy flag, which Candy AI keeps for the titles that are explicit from the first minute. No real people appear: the cast is entirely AI-generated.

Where to watch Dad's New Girlfriend
Full episodes stream only on candyshorts.com and in the Candy Shorts tab of candy.ai. Uploads elsewhere that claim to be full episodes are something else — our Dailymotion check found none, and "leak" pages are bait: what those links really are.
Our take
On paper, Dad's New Girlfriend is one of the more direct entries in the catalogue's family-boundary corner, and the point-of-view framing is what gives it its edge: the viewer is not watching someone else wrestle with the situation but is cast as the person in it. Six episodes is one more than the usual five, enough room for the premise to build without becoming a long commitment.
Colette Ramsey will be familiar to regular viewers, since the same character leads I Picked Up a Hitchhiker and the dragon-themed Dragon Queen's Dark Desire, and on paper this is the most domestic of the three setups. Fans of titles like Whatever Your Stepmom Says or Date With My Stepmom will recognize the territory, though Colette is a girlfriend rather than a stepmother, so the stakes are about loyalty to the father rather than a formal family tie.
Who it is for: Viewers who enjoy point-of-view stories built on family loyalty and an off-limits attraction, and who want a contained, quick binge rather than a sprawling multi-part arc.
Frequently asked questions
How many episodes does Dad's New Girlfriend have?
Six episodes as of October 2, 2026, each under two minutes long. Episode counts can change as Candy AI adds episodes, so check the date above.
Can I watch Dad's New Girlfriend for free?
Partly. Episodes 1 and 2 are free; the other four sit behind the paywall: Candy AI Premium, from $3.99 a month on the annual plan, is the main way in (its terms say a subscription includes a limited number of episodes), or 12 tokens each inside candy.ai.
Where can I watch Dad's New Girlfriend?
Only on Candy AI: on candyshorts.com or in the Candy Shorts tab of candy.ai, in any browser. Uploads elsewhere are trailers or unauthorised copies.
Who is Colette Ramsey in Dad's New Girlfriend?
Colette Ramsey is the lead character, an AI-generated persona created by Candy AI, not a real person. The same character also leads I Picked Up a Hitchhiker and Dragon Queen's Dark Desire.
Does Dad's New Girlfriend have subtitles?
The audio is English only; subtitles are available in English, French, German, Spanish, Italian and Portuguese.
Is Colette a stepmother in Dad's New Girlfriend?
No. Colette is introduced as the father's girlfriend, not his wife. The family tie at the center of the story is a new relationship rather than a marriage.
Is Dad's New Girlfriend a POV series?
Yes. The story is told from the viewer's point of view, with you cast as an adult whose father is dating Colette. The father remains part of the story, which is what keeps the loyalty question alive.
Is Dad's New Girlfriend connected to I Picked Up a Hitchhiker?
Both series are led by Colette Ramsey. The available information does not establish a shared storyline, so they are best treated as separate stories with the same lead character.
